PHILOS WORLD

PHILOS is a modern Greek word that means dispassionate virtuous love; this includes loyalty to
friends, family, and community; it promotes virtue and equality. Our organization was founded
and is run by a group of leaders committed to implementing innovative solutions to some of the
world’s most pressing problems. It draws strength from a diverse membership that represents a
broad spectrum of ideological, cultural and geographical backgrounds.
PHILOS is the youth-led division of Sons and Daughter of Afraka (SADA). SADA is a non-profit 501(c)
(3) corporation devoted to the unification of Afrakan people in the Diaspora and on the Afrakan
continent.
In achieving our mission, PHILOS will focus on three main socio-economic factors:
Health
Education & Poverty Alleviation
Human Rights
We believe that improving these socio-economic factors in any community will lead to a better
standard of living for members of the community
